Questions for celebrating a bday at DL, and one other question!

As much as I love Disneyland and have been there numerous times, I still am looking for deals, tips, and tricks. I am celebrating 2 kids' bdays while we go in a little less than 2 weeks. Please fellow members, give me the tips, the tricks, and the pointers, where it is fun to celebrate? Any bday things at DL or DLH that any of you have done?

Also where can my husband and I go for a date night while we are down there? good restaurants?. good fun? Please help.

I really need advice with the bday stuff though. help, help, help !!

There is the Pat-E-Cake birthday celebration at the Plaza Inn. They get to decorate their own cake and Mickey & Minnie are there.

Is date night in or out of the park?

Top suggestions in the resort are Blue Bayou in DL and Napa Rose at GCH.

We are celebrating DDs 6th birthday in a couple of weeks. On her birthday, we are going to Bibbity Bobbity Boutique for an Ariel makeover, Lunch at Ariel's Grotto, and Pat E. Cake at 2:00pm.

On date night, we are headed to Napa Rose (Chef's Counter), while she goes to Pinocchio's Workshop (we are staying at the GCH).

She has no idea about the trip. I am picking her up from school and there will be a letter from Mickey on her seat. Then we go straight to the airport and get on a plane!
