Which is the hardest resort to get reservations for in September and October? Which is the easiest? I am still struggling to figure out where (and if) I should buy into DVC. My leaning is OKW just because that fits my type of resort atmosphere I like, but if that's the easiest resort to book at even 7 months out, maybe I should buy at BWV or BCV?

If you prefer the feel of an OKW vacation, then that is where you should buy. Besides, your dues will be less! We love OKW, and the lower cost of dues and size of rooms and low point costs are a big bonus!

BCV are the most expensive points on the resale market, followed by BWV. Plus their dues are higher. I would only buy those if you plan on taking advantage of the 11 month window, if not you're better off getting OKW points.

Oct/Nov is a busy time for BCV and BWV b/c of the Food & wine Festival at Epcot. I think Sept is a busy time for DVC in general b/c the points are so low.

If you want to book guaranteed Boardwalk View or the cheaper Standard View at BWV, you'll have better success owning BWV points. If you want access to SAB, buy BCV. (You can hop to Luna Park at BWV, but not to SAB.)

IMHO, once SSR is finished, it will be the easiest to book at 7 months b/c it will be the largest.

Over the past few weeks, I have been booking an October visit to Boardwalk Villas at the 7 month window a few days at a time, because I am a member at Wilderness Lodge.

I had no problems whatsoever, despite my visit coinciding with Food and Wine.

I have a one bedroom regular view, which will probably overlook Luna Park or the MGM canal.

I have never had a problem with any resort or any view for September.
I only went in October once and did not have a problem either and all booked less then 7 months out.
If you fell strongly about satying at a particuliar resort and can book more then 7 months out then better safe then sorry.
if you wnat to try all the resorts then buy where you feel you are getting the best deal. ::MickeyMo
