Please give opinions on a BUNCH of questions....
On our first night we will be arriving around 3 p.m. It's our first trip and I'd like to do a nice dinner then see one of the light shows at night. I'm thinking dinner at Le Cellier and then Illuminations. I also saw that at Calif. Grill they pipe in the music for Wishes. Which would you suggest? Any other suggestions for dinner and a parade or Electric Water Pageant? It's a Wed. so Spectromagic is not an option. TGM warns against this night for Fantasmic so I might as well take his advice since I have options. (My 9yo DD has never liked Santa or any other characters. We are going to do a Character Dining experience but it won't impress her to start with that.)
Also, TGM suggests a 6:00 or earlier reservation. If Epcot closes at 7 that night, what will we do for the hour before Illuminations?
Is it true that Value resort guests can go to Moderate resort pools?
I haven't booked my trip yet. I'm waiting on another quote from themagicforless.com after I read about a discount code here. (THANKS!)
Couldn't I start making ADRs since I know my dates?
On the DIS dining reviews, many of them say SNACK on the menus listed. Does that mean that they offer some kind of snack that is part of the DDP? (I realize it might be chips or something boring but just wondering. I'm certain like many others we will end up with a bunch of snacks left so if I know ahead of time, I can grab them up to take to the room if we are already there.
I have plenty of time to plan our trip. It is consuming my time and my DD and I are getting more excited by the day. I'm resisting the urge to plan every moment, attraction and meal. How do you know if a restaurant at an attraction or wherever participates in the DDP? Do I have to carry the brochure or does it tell somewhere?
Has anyone used the childcare "clubs"? It would be really nice to have one hot date with my DH but shudder at leaving my daughter with strangers--even ones with ears! I think she would love it but....
My DD has allergies to lots of plants, animals, etc. I'm anticipating a problem at Animal Kingdom and we'll stay away from gardens when possible. Know of any other problem areas? We were at the very top row of Dixie Stampede and she had taken her meds but was miserable at last year's trip to Branson.
Thanks in advance. You Disney Nuts are Great!
