Hi,
We have reservations off Disney but I would really like to stay ON..Do any of the value resorts have any kind of continental breakfast? Where can you go to get an affordable breakfast around there? ALso, can you go and come from Disney World and the other parks as much as you like? LIke if you wanted to go and take a nap and rest up for a while, do you get back in free when you wanna go back? Thanks so much..Tara

Breakfast - food court - decent prices, decent food.

If you have a car, or pay for shuttle transportation, you can go anywhere you wish.

You can get your hand stamped when you leave a park so that you can get back in on that same day.

If you have a park hopper ticket, you can hop between the Disney parks as much as you want.

Though I haven't stayed at a value, I do know they have wonderful food courts. You can get a wide variety of foods/meals for reasonable prices.

As with all WDW resorts, you're free to come & go to the parks as often as you like (provided you've got your park tickets.) I've also "gleaned" that the bus service is pretty good.

I'm sure others who have stayed at them will chime in too!

Stay on site if you can! It's "so worth it"!!::yes::

i think you will love the all stars. the food court is great, it has anything you could want for meals, snacks, they have everything. plus get the mug and you get free refills, along with tea and coffee. yep, just have your hand stamped and you can go back. we usually go in the summer, so we go back to the hotel to swim, eat lunch, and then go back to the parks. you can get really decent prices for this hotel, why dont you try , i think its better to stay on site. lol.

Weare planning on bringing fixings for breakfast in our room. I don't believe you will find a "free" breakfast like some of the hotels do off property.

Tara, we have stayed offsite (Wyndham Palace Resort), Wilderness Lodge, Beach Club, PO Riverside, and on our last trip we were on a stricter budget so we tried the All Star Sports. The food court had plenty to choose from. I also decided to do an experiment and packed a box of cereal, some pop tarts etc., some plastic bowls and spoons in a suitcase surrounded by our rain panchos and things to protect the food from getting crushed and checked it through. If you are renting a car or have town car service they will do a grocery stop on the way from the airport to WDW. We were renting a car and we could have done a grocery stop there but we were arriving late in the evening and I knew we would all be tired and not want to stop at the grocery store. My thoughts were at least we'd have that next morning's breakfast covered. Well much to my surprise none of the food was crushed! We are not big breakfast eaters so the kids had cereal (I bought a small thing of milk at the store in All Stars while dh checked us in) and I grabbed a poptart, dh just needed a poptart and coffee. We did this some days and once or twice dh took kids to food court for eggs, pancakes and such while I got ready. Bottom line is that like others have said it is SOOOO worth it to stay onsite. Coming and going offsite even when the resort is close is not nearly as easy as hopping the bus back to your resort to take a break and then head back to the parks. Even though our offsite resort was nice it just wasn't the same not being "in" WDW.

I agree with the suggestion of bringing some of your own breakfast items. If you have a car or don't mind a moderate walk - there is a McDonalds about 1/2 mile up the rode from AllStar Sports. I don't think they had a $1 menu, but their prices would be a couple dollars a meal less than the food court. The prices are similar to McDonalds at an airport - a little higher than the one on most corners. You will be giving up a little convenience and variety, but a family of 4 could save $6 - $10 over the food court prices.
