I will be using a cane at the parks. What's done with the cane while riding the rides? Can you leave it with a CM? What happens if loading & unloading is at 2 different locations? :confused3

Thanks!

DH has always taken his cane with him on rides. This year I will also be using one, and will be taking it on rides, too. We do not ride coasters, though, so not sure if they have different rules.

Thanks for the info. I will be riding coasters, so I hope I can find out what the process is.

I use a cane when I'm not in my wheelchair at WDW. On most rides I take my cane on the ride with me. On the coasters, and a couple of other rides, I'm not allowed to have it. The CM takes it and it is taken to the unloading area where they also have the ECVs and wheelchairs waiting.

Thank you for the information, now I know what to expect! :cool1:

I've always had my cane show up with the wheelchairs or scooters.

A couple of times a CM was holding it and even brought it over to the car. Door to door service. :goodvibes

Cute story: When riding Space Mountain with crutches, I asked the CM at boarding, "Is there a place to leave my crutches?" instead of "Where do I leave my crutches?"

Deadpan, he answered, "No, you just take them with you, and when they fly out of the sled they'll land at the bottom and be waiting for you." Then he laughed and said, "No, I'm just kidding! I'll take them for you." They did the same thing at BTMRR, without the joke.

In boat rides like Pirates and it's a small world, I laid them along the floor at our feet.

Thanks to all for the information. I knew that Disney & the CM's would take care of my needs! pixiedust:

So funny, I love it!!! :rotfl2:

I have a folding cane that I use and I take it on most rides and just fold it up and stick it in the basket inside the car if there is one.
