Questions about upcoming stay at Copper Creek.

Hi all. I'm staying at CCV later this month, and have several questions that hopefully people here can answer. Our flights get in around 8PM and we will be renting a car instead of taking DME for the first time. I plan on renting from Alamo as they are the cheapest and located in the terminal, and I just want to confirm that you can rent an "I Pass" or equivalent for the tolls. Along the transportation questions, how is the transportation from CCV to MK, HS and Epcot? Would it be quicker to drive to HS and Epcot in general, or drive the rental? Is the boat the quicker method to MK?

As for CCV, the first night we're staying in a 2 bedroom and the next three nights we're in a cabin :-). Do I need to "link" the reservations like for a split stay? Also, to see the electrical water pageant from the cabins, is it best to try and request one on the Geyser Point side? Because we won't be arriving there until after 9, are any restaurants open? (I looked on their website, but I've seen mixed comments on hours, so just curious on anyone's personal experience as of late). Also, does CCV still have regular coffee makers or do they have Keurigs?

Lastly, we plan on going from MK to Disney Springs to hopefully get some Gideons cookies. How are the bus schedule on that route, or are we better off taking an Uber? Same question for the return trip from DS to CCV. Also, for those who have gone to the parks since the pandemic, is there any one thing that you've encountered that was completely unexpected? Thanks for any and all responses.

OMG! I can't believe they're closed. Thanks for the info!! I just saw that it was a "soft opening", so I guess they have to work out the waits...

Another question that I forgot... for mobile ordering, it looks like you can't charge to your room. We typically pay at the end using gift cards as well a Disney visa redemption card. You can't combine gift cards on an order, so I'm assuming that once a gift card runs out that you need to complete the order with your visa on file even if you have more gift cards? Will MDE save the redemption card number, or do you have to re-enter it? Thanks again and sorry for all the questions

Stayed at CCV early Dec. There were no boats to Campground or anywhere other than MK. The boat pulled off dock 8:05a and was at MK 8:15a which we then walked right on Mine Train!

As for the gift cards, I just depleted them when I ordered and any extra went on the card saved in MDE. I just entered all my cards in my phones notepad and copy and pasted each time.

We were at CCV mid-December. Rented from Avis not Alamo, but they had a "sunpass" in the car for e-toll.
Transportation to MK was a little slow - boats are not filled to capacity and they were only running one boat. On one occasion we were the first party to not fit in the boat and had to wait 30 minutes for the boat to go to CCV and return. Much faster to take the bus, but the boat is always more pleasant if you don't mind the wait.

The kids took busses to Epcot/HS and I didn't hear any complaints. I drove to both parks - was quick and easy.

CCV 2-bedrooms have 12-cup standard drip coffee makers. not sure about cabins.

When we were there, Geyser Point and Roaring Fork were open until 11pm and 10pm respectively. Not sure about current hours since the parks have rolled back hours also. Don't forget you'll have a car, so you can go anywhere to eat. Pretty sure Gasparilla's at GF is open until midnight - you can drive over there also. The Mercantile (store) has frozen pizzas and other easy foods and beverages - I think it is open until 10pm.

Correct - mobile order cannot be charged to your room. It will charge to whatever payment method is on there. I've only ever had a credit card, so not sure about gift cards and redemption cards.

The most unexpected thing I found while we were there was the reduction in transportation from resort to park. Assume transportation by WDW methods will take longer than expected.
Also, if you drive to DS - entrance to the Lime garage is only available on the road coming from hotel blvd towards the garage. You can no longer turn left into the garage.

Have a great time! CCV is my entire family's favorite.

Thank you so much for all your advice. I greatly appreciate it!

Rented a few times recently from Alamo. There is no toll device, we did the "pay by plate" driving through the express lanes, which goes back to Alamo, then they charge you later for the toll amount plus the service fee (Alamo only charges the service fee once per day for the days you use the toll). And save a lot of time by doing the skip the line check-in ahead of time for Alamo. The lines can get long, so it is nice just to walk out to the cars, they tell you which row to look down, and pick a car and be on your way.

Cabins have a normal 12 cup coffee maker. Believe the cabins to the right of geyser point see the water parade pretty well. We were to the left (right and left as if you were looking at geyser point with the water behind it, main building to your back) and could see some of the parade, but was not fully visible and further away.

Thanks so much for this very useful information!
