Questions About Universal Military Promotional Tickets

We are going to be in Orlando with friends and staying at the Shades of Green. We were going to purchase the military promotional tickets for us and our friends. Do the friends have to have an id to use the tickets or does the military id card holders just have to be part of the group? Thanks for any help. These are the purchase one day get two free tickets. We have never been to Universal before so any advice for where to eat and what not to miss would be greatly appreciated. We will have 4 adults and 3 teens in our party.

The Sponsor or sponsor's spouse just has to be there at the time all tickets are activated. I have heard rumors that the Universal tickets are limited to 6 - like the Disney salute tickets are, but I'm not 100% on that info. Universal tickets are all printed vouchers - and you can get them ahead of time at your base ITT.
