Questions about Trip next November

OK, we are new DVC Members who are taking our first trip "home" this December. However, I am already in planning mode for our next trip

We were originally planning to take our kids and their associated "significant" others down from Oct 30 - Nov 6, 2010. We would all fit in a 2 bedroom. I was going to book at our home resort, BLT at 11 months and then try to switch over to BWV at 7 months.

Now my DW has suggested we take her parents along too... The point increase going from a 2 bedroom to a grand villa is just way too much so we are thinking about getting a 2 bedroom and a studio and giving her parents the studio...

So, that leads to a couple questions:

1. How hard do you think it would be to switch two rooms over to BWV at 7 months? I don't think all of us staying at BLT would be a problem but if we do decide to switch is it doable?

2. In order to make this work, I would need to rent/ transfer about * points. I assume I would need to get a transfer from someone who has points at BLT in order to make the initial reservation. If I get a transfer, then those points are mine, correct? I can use them however I want (within DVC rules)

1. Boardwalk can be tough that time of year (Food & Wine Festival), you maybe able to get a preferred pool/garden.

2. To make the reservation at BLT at 11 months, the transferred points would have to be BLT.

Just a FYI. Friends went on the BWV waitlist for a 2BR for 10/29 thru 11/5 since the 7 mos window opened. We are staying on my BWV points the first part of the trip and hoped not to have to move (but we love OKW so it's actually okay). Waitlist never came through.\
