Questions about the dinning plan.

Do they usually offer the free dinning every year in August? How does that work? Will I need to put the dinning plan on my reservation in hope they do free dinning than take it off? Or do I leave it off and if they have free dinning than just add it to my reservation? Are all resorts eligable for free dinning? We are undecided where we want to stay as of now and the free dinning could play part in that.

It's been offered for the past 4 years, and if you're going August of this year, it's already offered right now. if you go on the Disney website you can see if it's available for your resort - all resorts are eligible for free dining, but some might have already sold out for your dates. I would go check, using the booking tool on Disney's website.

This will be the 5th year Disney has offered the Fall Free Dining promo for Magic Your way packages with a 3 night minimum and a 14 day maximum (Basic Dining Plan; 1 TS, 1 CS, 1 Snack per person per night). In the past the dates were usuallyd uring the last part of August until the end of September, give or take a few days. But this year the Promo runs August 16 - October 3, 2009 and you must book by July 27, 2009. The free dining offer is usually announced during the first week of April. The first couple of days it will only be open to Disney Visa holders and then will open up to the general public.

Any resort that has availabilty will be available for for the Free Dining discount. As for when to add the plan, it doesn't really matter. The DDP can be added to your reservation as late as 72 hours before your arrival date.
