I am considering ordering the slipper dessert for my DD when we eat dinner at CRT. What is it exactly? It looks like a big piece of white chocolate filled with cream. It looks nice, but I am not sure if we would actually like it...does it taste good?

I had it at V&A and it isn't as big as the pics of it look. It is white chocolate, as you thought, and honestly, it was "OK" but not really "fabulous." I like white chocolate, too, and I usually only eat Godiva chocolate, so your mileage may vary. :) It has raspberries on a mousse/cream filling, and there is a chocolate mousse cup with white chocolate pieces in it accompanying the slipper.

It's fun to get, so I think it's worth doing at least once. I'm not a kid, either (even though my kids say I act like one -- LOL!), so I think a kid might enjoy getting it even more, especially at CRT. You can have them write something with the sauce, too, like your DD's name. That'd be a nice touch, IMO. Hope this helps and have a great time!

thank you for the quick response. I think she will get a kick out of it. I didn't know they would put her name on it so that is good to know. Thanks!

We had the slipper for our wedding at YBC and our guests are still raving about it almost a year later. It's filled with a mousse, if I remember correctly. My husband & I were too busy dancing, but everyone said they loved it. I think the "WOW" factor has some part! Good luck!

I've seen pictures posted from the CRT and the slipper dessert there is served with berries and looks amazing.
