Questions about Saratoga Springs

My son will be getting married next Sept.at the Boardwalk Pavilion and is considering staying at thr SSR.So I'm trying to find any info concerning good and bad points,buses,food,best room location ect...So any input would be greatly appreciated. Oh by the way, we are staying in the campground(someone has to help pay )he can have the villa

SSR is a very large resort. We have stayed there 3 times. Here is a website link with great photos of the resort as well as lots of information...

SSR is close to DTD and one can actually walk there if desired. There is a sit-down restaurant as well as a spot to grab something and go. Buses can get crowded, as the resort is very large and there are a number of stops. There is also a boat that goes over to DTD; a nice change. Each area has its own swimming pool/hot tub area and there is a large, zero-entry pool near the Hospitality buildings. SSR also has a spa, which we haven't had the opportunity to visit yet. Every accommodation, except the studios, has its own washer/dryer, full kitchen with appliances and Jacuzzi in the master suite.

if he is getting married at the Boardwalk Pavilion how about BWV or BCV - you can rent a reservation from a DVC member and save some money.

a cheaper alternative is OKW or AKV (standard room). BWV also has a standard room and it is cheaper than SSR. that say if you want something this year - well it is pretty booked - but next year - someone should be able to help you.
