Questions about RPR

Hello, RPR experts! . My DH, 14 yo DS and his friend will be staying at the RPR in about a month for 2 days at the end of a WDW trip. We have always stayed at the HRH before, but DH wanted to try RPR (a little quieter!).
Since no one will want to share a bed, is there room to set up an inflatable bed on the floor, or are there rollaways? (DS best friend was just added to the equation yesterday!).
Also, How much further of a walk is it from the parks? Is it better to take the water taxi?
I've requested a theme park view room, anything else special to request (it's a standard room).
Finally, is there anywhere to get a quick breakfast similar to Emack and Bolio's at the HRH?

Thanks for any info!!! :)

They would do much better with a twin inflatable bed than a rollaway. The airbed can be put over between the window and one bed. We've done the same thing travelling with our 2 teen sons. The great thing about the airbed is that you can deflate it during the day to make more room, since there's really not a lot of extra space in RPR standard rooms. The walk to the parks depends on which tower you are in. Tower 3 is closest to the boat dock and pool, and only takes about 10 minutes to walk the path to the edge of City Walk by Margaritaville, brings you out closest to IOA. On the 3rd floor, same level as check-in, there is the Orchid Lounge where you can buy quick breakfast foods and drinks. Tower 3 is not the closest to the parks, but we enjoyed being able to hop right on the boat there if we didn't feel like walking.

We stayed in Tower One at the end of the hall furthest from the elevatiors. We just went down the stairway right there and came out at the walking path to City Walk. I could be at City Walk in about six minutes. It brings you out at Margaritaville. The walk was not bad at all. We rarely took the water taxis to the park. We took it home occassionally if one happened to be there.

I asked this question over on the RPR thread, but I'll repeat it here just in case somebody knows...

We're staying at RPR this August. There are five of us in the room, but six will be touring the parks. Is there any way that we can get a sixth room key from the front desk (short of renting another room!)...Does anyone know if they are accomodating to this type of request, or if they keep the room key cards under strict control due to their FOTL value?

thanks,
Bruce

We are just back from Royal Pacific -- stayed there 6/7 to 6/11.

First of all, they charge $25 per night for the roll away. For us, for 4 nights, that would have been $100, so no, we did not get the roll away.

Secondly, only registered hotel guests get room card keys. And you have to not only show your room card for FOTL, but they are also scanned at many attractions as well.

RyGuy can give you the best descriptions of the rooms, but I believe tower one has the better views of the parks for the standard views. We had an awesome one there - could see the Hulk, Doom, and Dueling Dragons in the background.

It would take us about six or seven minutes to walk to Margaritaville and then a couple more to get to one of the parks. The only drawback to tower one is if you come back late and the pool is already closed - you can't cut through and have to go almost to the boats and then circle back again to get to tower one.

As for getting 6 keys, I don't think it is possible. The FOTL passes are actually your room keys and they only issue those to the people registered as staying in the room. And RPR has a limit of 5 people per room, so 5 keycards are the max amount of cards they will issue per room.
