We are booked at AoA w/ 5 day tickets and the DDP. I'm hoping for FD. But I just did the math and if they offer a room discount it's cheaper then if we got FD and pay for the upgrade b/c AoA is a value and we'd only get free QS. I'm also debating on staying at CSR in the family suite. If there is a room discount which I think they are usually closer to 30% vs the 15% at a value. It would still be cheaper then getting FD. Are there any room discounts right now for the dates we are going? 9/28-10/05 3013 Hmmmm decisions decisions...:confused3

You are too early for discounts for your time frame.

Best is to go to the discount codes and rates board and subscribe to a thread for your time period.

Also, be advised there has been fairly good info that free dining will only be offered to moderates and deluxes; and it will only be quick service.

However, there has also been some fairly good information that they will still offer it during the late August to end of September time frame, which is normally recognized by Disney as a "high hurricane" season and is done to bring in guests.

Room discounts for that timeframe if one is to be offered should be released in the next few weeks I would think. I can tell you historically looking at the deals that Disney has offered they offer FD until the end of Sept. Which you would be able to use for your entire trip as long as check in day falls before FD comes to an end. This offer typically became available in the past in March or April. As for a % off the room from what i can see a deal for your timeframe has not been made available until sometime in late summer in past years.

I personally have found for us that FD is the better discount when staying at a value or moderate resort. When staying Deluxe the % off works best for us as we typically only want the QS dining plan.

You do know that if FD is offered and you are staying at a value resort, you can pay the difference and upgrade to the regular dining plan right? We have done that before in past years and that still worked out to be a better deal than the % off the room discount.

Hope this helps some! :)
