Questions about reservations

Were thinking about reserving a premium campsite for a week next january or febuary but noticed they have not set rates for 2010 when I called they gave the highest rate no matter what date. When is a good time to reserve for 2010 or when will they start posting rates for 2010. We were also wandering can you pick a specific site or are 1st come 1st serve. We noticed that alot of the sites on the picture post are kind of private. Thanks for any input

They will quote you the highest rate for now, and that is what your deposit will be. However, your rate will adjust to "actual" once they release next years rates which will be sometime in August of this year.

The campground assigns your site about 5 days before you arrive. You can't reserve a certain site, and it is not first come first served. You can place requests, and you need to tell them what size your rig is so that they can place you in a site that you will fit. (Not all sites are the same.)

Yup clkelly is correct. A little over a year ago (back when I had money,) I booked every single date for 2008 that they'd let me book and it was a high rate that I was quoted for the deposits. But, after they figured out the rates for 2008, I got new confirmations mailed to me for all my dates and the rates were lower than what I did the deposits for. So, I ended up with a bit of extra money on each of my reservations which helped when it came time to pay for he rest of the nights at check in.

Book as soon as you can if you're a planner like me and know your dates in advance. Don't worry about the rate if you can afford to pay it, cause Disney will take care of you later on.
