Questions about points?

I have an April UY and will have 182 pts left after our trip in August. We are also planning a trip for June of 2010 and I am going to book in July of this year. So if I use the 182 pts from this year to book the trip along with some of my points from next year, what would happen if I had to change my plans or cancel the vacation after the banking deadline? I am guessing that my points from April 2010 will be fine and will be put right back into April 2010 UY...but what will happen to the 182 pts from April this year if I have to make changes or cancel next year?

If your 182 points are this year's 2009 April UY points, you will have to bank them into 2010 to use them for a June 2010 reservation. In any case, they will have to be used by March 31, 2011 as they cannot be returned to the 2009 UY.

If you have to change or cancel your June reservation and intend to make a trip later in the year, you will use your banked points first for that reservation and may bank any extra 2010 points if you are still within your banking window.
