I know I am not going crazy. I decided it was time to learn how to really play Pirates. I mean, how bad could the game really be :rotfl: Anyway, I was rereading the instructions and I noticed there was a way of just playing against the computer. I went back intot he instructions to try it and now I can't find where I read it. Is it still possible to play against the computer? I thought playing against the computer would help me be able to play against a real person.

You can play against the computer on ship battle, but not capture the flag. To do that, start a game, and then double click on each of the other 7 blank spaces (or however many computer-controlled ships you want to play with) and for each one, a window will open letting you choose which type of ship you want it to be. Then you can start the game.

Thanks! Here it goes....

Arggh!! I got it to work, spend the credits, got two seconds into the game and got dc'd! Yo, ho Yo,ho a Pirates life is not for me...

One thing to keep in mind about playing against the computer ships - you don't get near the amount of credits that you do against real players. :sad2:

And when you need to play for a quest, you must play against real players for the quest to recognize the game.
