I thought I had read somewhere that if you are staying in a resort you can park at the parks for free instead of using Disney transportation. Is this correct?
Yes, you are correct. Parking is free at the parks if you're staying on Disney property. You receive a paper to put on your dash when you register at your resort. Enjoy your vacation!
I would suggest that you don't drive to MK because until you park, get the tram to the TTC and take either the ferry or the monorail, it will probably take just as long to take the bus from your resort. We usually drive to the rest of the parks, but not MK.
Thanks for the replies. My second question is, if we are going in for EMH can we get into the parking lot early for morning EMH or would we need to take the disney transportation? We are trying to avoid the Disney transportaion. We are staying at ASMusic and we will have a stroller and my dh is worried about getting on and off the bus with it.

I know at the Magic Kingdom when it's morning EMH they don't even run the Express Monorail or the boat at the TTC which goes to the Magic Kingdom for the offsite guests, however if you're a Disney Resort guest they will let you threw onto the Resort Monorail. Just show them you're KTTW card as proof. I am not sure what they do at Epcot, MGM and the AK however, I am sure they make it so no offsite guests get in the parks until it's 9:00 AM when they open for everyone.
