Dined at Narcoosses last month and absolutely loved it. (I even wrote a paper in my Spanish class about it and I had everyone's mouth watering!)

Anyway, going next week and I finally decided that I must eat there again so I just made an ADR for next Saturday at 9:20pm. So here are my questions....

How is the Pear and Endive Salad? Also, how is the Smoked Beef Brochettes?

And, Wishes is at 9:00. If we show up a little before 9, will they let us watch them from the porch? (It's just three of us)

Can only respond to the viewing question - sure they will let you watch while you wait for your table to be ready.

Be prepared that people that have waited for window tables and will be staying at their tables during Wishes will NOT be happy when your block their table view.

We were there last month as well...and we had a window table. When it came time for Wishes, I would say that about 90% of the folks in the restaurant (including folks with window tables) all traipsed out to the deck or the dock to watch the fireworks. Hardly anyone stayed seated. Even folks not eating at the restaurant seemed to make their way down to the dock for the show.

Can't speak to the dishes you asked about but the almond crusted cheesecake was the best dessert I have ever had anywhere!!!

As a kid we used to whine about someone taking our seat. My grandmother used to say, "you carry your seat around with you." Likewise, there is no such thing as "my table view" at Narcoossee's. Waiting for a window table for the express purpose of watching Wishes is a bad strategy. If you want to see the show, go outside. Otherwise enjoy your view of the Seven Seas lagoon before or after Wishes while you have a fantastic meal.

OP - enjoy the show before dinner and as you already know the food at Narcoossee's is delightful, so I'd try the new items. Gosh I'd love to be going back.

ummmmmmm, no...actually we had the manager move the people in front our window and the 2 tables asked the same thing. ha!

As far as the food goes I have never had a bad dinner there and I love the smores for dessert, makes it a fun ending.
My husband has also had the filet and said it was very good.
Delicious Fonseca Port after dinner.

Not to create a debate, but I'm not sure if I follow what the purpose of the deck is, if people aren't to watch wishes from there because of those in the restaurant. Its not a "wishes view table", its a window table. If it wasnt designed for people to watch wishes, then they would rope it off or something to prevent people from blocking the view of those at the window.

In the spirit of the disboards, its best we just put this part of the discussion to rest and just wish the OP another great meal at Narcoossee's!

Didn't mean to create such a debate. Actually, a few of my threads have done that. popcorn::

How about I just go and enjoy. And, Deeva, that cheesecake is the best. Probably the reason I am going back and just ordering a salad and the cheese appetizer as my dinner. I was too stuffed from the surf and turf that I couldn't enjoy the cheesecake!

We are going to Narcoosees for the first time in November and I am torn between the surf and turf and the halibut. Anyone try the halibut - would like opinions.

Thanks.

Sorry, I did the Surf & Surf. LOL

Actually, I substituted the steak for scallops. Actually ended up enjoying them more than the lobster.

My apologies, I got off topic and should have just left it alone:) I too had the surf and turf last time and was too stuffed for dessert. I'll have to save room for this cheesecake next time, as I'm a major cheesecake nut. Enjoy your dinner, I'm jealous thats for sure!....

I did not know they had a Smores dessert! I love Smores and would love to do this.

Does anyone know if the menus on the Allears website are complete, or just a sampling of what is on the menu? Someone else mentioned Lamb Chops, but I did not see them on the menu eaither:confused3

Thanks!

I have a copy of the menu from our Aug 30th visit. No lamb chops there:
Salmon, Scallops, Ahi Tuna, Chicken, Lobster, Steak and a Vegetarian option.

Maybe the lamb chops were a special? I asked DH and he didn't remember....
I don't think you will be disappointed, we will be going back 11/26

The menu at Narcoossee's changes fairly often in our experience as it does at many of the signature restaurants. So what you enjoyed may have been off the menu the following day or week but back on for your next trip. Or not!

Bon apetit!

I would like to try this restaurant..but I will have my DS6 with me..are kids an issue at this restaurant?

Although I have not been there, I posed a question about Narcoossee's on another thread and someone commented that there kids liked it and there are usually kids there. From what I have read, all the restarants are good with kids (except V&A) since it is WDW!

Absolutely, children are welcomed and expected.

Hi Soonerlpn!

I would never take MY 6 year old there, but I would take my 5 year old.:lmao: My 6 year old can't sit still and might disrupt other diners. (Sometimes he does well, other times, no). Just depends on your little one. I saw several kids there when I dined and they were well-behaved. Since it is 2TS credits or a lot of money (depending upon your dining plan), I try to think of the others-----and myself!

When we go THIS Saturday :cool1: it is just me, hubby and our 9 year old. They do have a great kid's menu and they are welcome.

ENJOY!
