Questions about my pj

Question for brides with a pj... I should know how to do these things. But I never had a reason to use them until now.

How do I change the title of my pj in order to show it has been updated?

Also I've seen brides do a sort of table of contents that has a link directly to the specific post. How do you do that?

To change the title go to your first post, click edit, then click go advanced, and you'll see the title bar again so you can change it. Then just save it.

What you do is go to the specific post and click on the number in the far right of the blue bar at the top of the post. That opens it in a new window and you can just copy the link out of the address bar of your browser.

Then go back into Edit mode of the first post of your thread, type what you want to call the link to that post, highlight it, and then hit the little "Globe + Chain Link" icon under the smiley face icon in the post box. A new box will open up, and you can paste in the link.

Usually if you click on other people's tickers, it will take you to the site where they were created, and you can browse through all the different styles offered, pick the one you like, customize it, and get the code to stick in your signature. There are a couple popular ticker sites on the DIS, but a Google search will turn up even more. Once you have the code, go to User CP in the upper left hand corner of the DIS, scroll down to "Settings & Options"> Edit Signature, and click on it to open a box where you can paste the ticker code.

Not to hijack this thread but I have a similar question... how do I make the link to my PJ look cleaner?? Like, instead of it saying "5/09/11 PJ" and then there is a link AFTER that, how do I make "5/09/11 PJ" BE the link?

Between this and my second ticker getting cut off, I'm ALL kinds of twitchy today!!
