So I'm arriving at WDW mid-afternoon on a Wednesday, and was toying with the idea of buying a ticket for MVMCP for that night. I've never been to MVMCP. What time do they allow you to enter the park before the party with just your MVMCP ticket? I'm going by myself (unless someone else out there is going on 12/7!) Will there be stuff for me to see & do? I've heard it's really crowded; does that affect the enjoyment? I'm obviously hitting the park other days, so I'm not too worried about getting on tons of rides, but I don't want to spend the whole evening standing in lines.

Good idea? Worth $60? I'd like your opinions!

A. You can enter MK as early as 4:00 with the Party ticket.

B. It is not crowded. Normally they allow somewhere between 20-25,000 people in for MVMCP. Yesterday I was at MK meeting up with my nephew who is an attractions coordinator. I mentioned to him that it seem like a light day. He said "the prediction for today is 33 and 17 for the Party tonight." Capacity for MK is somewhere above 80,000.

We will be there Wednesday night too.. We fly in around 1, have Dinner in the castle at 4 and then will be at the party for as long as the 2 year old will let us.

Sounds like a great thing to do on the first night.. Hope you decide to come too!!!

Cool! Thanks. I think I may do this instead of my "usual" evening at DTD for my first night.

Dinner in the castle? What a fun way to start! I think I'm going to do it! It sounds like a great way to start my vacation! Maybe I'll see you there.

We went last year, and thought it was great. Loved the hot chocolate and cookies.....snowing on main street was so cool too. Enjoy the party!!!

DD and i really enjoyed it!

there are two parades, so if you're planning on staying until the end of the party, i recommend you watch the second parade - there will be a lot fewer people watching at that time..

also, we watched it in frontierland and thought it was a really good location for parade viewing..

by the way, we really liked the xmas parade (especially the toy soldiers!!)...

we happened upon some carrolling pirates in adventureland and really enjoyed them...we must have watched them for 20 minutes....it was just one of those little street performance type things, but one of the most memorable moments for us..

when we were there, they had a performance of twas the night before xmas, but it was so packed we couldn't get near it...it was in the stage area of tomorrowland...i don't know if they still have it and if it's in the same place, but probably the best bet is to try to be at the first showing.....

in any case, we really enjoyed the evening....and the hot chocolate and cookies were really yummy!!

Thanks! Unfortunately, I'm a diabetic, so I won't be enjoying too much of the cookies or hot chocolate (what do you think the chance is they'd have low sugar/sugar free hot chocolate?) But I'm really looking forward to the snowing on Main Street! Especially since I won't have to drive to work in it!!!! ;)

Thanks for the info about the parade(s). That's good to know. And I love the idea of the caroling pirates! I love that kind of thing.

Soooooo have you ever compared the predictions your nephew gives to what other sites rate the crowd levels to be? I am just curious how accurate those ratings are. We are taking my 5 year old son arriving on the 11th and staying til the 16th and according to most sites those are low crowd days. SO I was just curious :)

Thanks!
