Questions about multi-resort and room reservations

Greetings...

We have a few questions about our upcoming trip this December (our first trip as members! ). The 4 of us will be travelling from December 9th-17th, but will be joined from the 12th-17th by my in-laws. We have booked our own rooms (studios at BCV and BWV ) for the duration and additional points to book their room as well. They will be staying the first night at SS studio and the remaining nights at BW studio and we have several questions about this. First, we understand that we cannot be double booked during this time, but would like to be able to check them in for the BW as we would like to set up an Xmas tree for them when they arrive. As a result, we were thinking the easy way to do this is to leave them on the reservation for SS, but swap the names on the BW reservation. This would make it so I am on one and DH on the other, allowing each of us to check into each room. Does anyone see anything that could be an issue with this? Secondly, they are also looking to do the dining plan for their 5 nights (1 @SS 4 @BWV WITH US), so is this something that we would have to do for them because it is under our points, or is there a way they can do this on their own. Any feedback would be appreciated.

The dining plan could be one problem if you put your name on their reservation, since everyone on the room reservation has to have it for the duration of the booking. However, if you were just going to get the dining plan as well in your room, that would work. It's my understanding that you pay for the dining plan on check in, so if you will be checking in for their room, with your name on it, you will have to pay for it and they will pay you back.

If you are asking if YOU have to arrange for the dining plan, then yes, you have to call MS and put the dining plan on the room reservation and this has to be done a few days before arrival.

You could get the DDP for any component separately. The one night at SSR, the BCV studio or either (or both) of the BWV studios. As for checking in, I'd put the SS studio in one of your names plus one of the in-laws name. I'd title their studio at BWV exactly the same way. I'd put your studio at BCV & BWV in the other spouses name. You'll simply have to tell MS who'll be in the room but that you will be checkin in for them and add the DDP, which I'd do at a separate time and phone call from when you tell them who'll be checkin in to avoid confussion. It sounds like they want the DDP and you don't, there are a lot of possibilities here as to combinations. I'd suggest they consider adding it for the 4 nights but not the first night at SSR. They'll get an extra half day to use the credits if you check in early for them then get the keys to them for access to the DDP.
