Questions about MSEP FP

Hi everyone!

I have FPs for the 9 p.m. MSEP on Saturday 5/2. I think the viewing area is still the flagpole.

I've seen a lot of people say that the MSEP FP area is bad for viewing Wishes afterwards. Can anyone explain exactly why? I know that some of the fireworks are obscured by the buildings, and that's fine by us. Can you see Tinkerbell fly at all? Is it possible to see (or hear) any of the castle projection show, or is it just too far away?

We don't need ideal viewing, I'm just wondering how much of a view there is at all if we stay put after MSEP.

Thanks!

Because it's too far away from the castle. I can't imagine you can see Tinkerbell or Celebrate the Magic from that far away.

There is a view, but it is poor. Too far away for most, can't see some of the bursts and lower effects, can't see the projection show much, and you can catch only the very beginning of Tink's flight. Other than that, it's great. ;)

This will give you an approximate idea. Tinkerbell with be a small light in the sky for a few seconds before the buildings block you. Celebrate the Magic - you'll miss much of the detail but it runs twice a lot so if you really want to see it you can move up closer for it after fireworks.

Thank you!

We've got 3 little ones who we know will love the parade, but we're not so sure how they'll do with fireworks. Staying put might still be our best bet, unless I can figure out another spot where we can see the parade, castle show, and Wishes. I know we could get a good spot on Main Street if we camp out, but I'm afraid of getting stuck in the crowds there if the kids start bugging out. I figure the flagpole will at least offer a hasty exit if necessary.

Thanks for the info so far, and if anyone else has experience with that view, please tell me about it!

For me, I love the castle projections, Tinkerbell flying, and all the special effects. You can see the fireworks great from the hub, but anything on the castle is pretty obscured. If you're not in the right spot closer to the castle you miss a lot, too. Sometimes the view is good from the top of the train station, but if the projections are what you like, I would move up. We've done the MSEP fp from the front hub, and it was very enjoyable as well as easy to exit afterwards. My favorite is Celebrate the Magic, and you really need to be closer for that. My granddaughter loves it, too. My favorite spot is anywhere to the right of the castle (we like right at the front of the bridge going into Tomorrowland) because we like seeing Tink fly overhead. I did the dessert party last December and was very disappointed. Great place to sit, and also great if you're hungry and like sweets, but not good for either MSEP or Celebrate the Magic. Plus, it rained and Tink didn't fly. Boo.
