Questions about Joffrey's Coffee

My hope is to go to Starbucks in the parks to get my daily dose of caffeine, but if the lineup is ridiculously long (which it might be as we're going the week before Christmas), my backup plan is to hit a Joffrey's kiosk. But I have 3 questions about it:

1. How is Joffrey's coffee? If it's not good, then I might just wait in line at Starbucks (or use the resort's refillable station and grab coffee before we get on the bus to the parks). And since I know everyone's preference for coffee is different, I love McDonald's coffee with Starbucks and Tim Hortons rounding out my top 3.

2. Can you customize Joffrey's coffee like you can with Starbucks (e.g., flavour shot, extra shot of espresso, etc.) but still have it counted as a snack credit?

3. I noticed Joffrey's has one price for each beverage, so I'm assuming there's just one size. So how big are the cups? Are their cups equivalent to a Starbucks tall, grande, or venti?

Thanks!

I like Joffrey's coffee but I don't like Starbucks so I would recommend Joffrey's. Tim Horton's is good and McD's is okay, so I kind of agree with you on coffee. The refillable coffee at the resorts is Joffrey's coffee brand. The kiosks in the park sometimes have special blends.

I don't know about your flavor shot question as I like my coffee just plain. I also never noticed if there are different sizes. The size is usually large, I don't know how that correlates to tall, grande or venti though.

If you are ok with McD's coffee you'll be fine with Joffrey's. They are on par with each other.
I'll say don't let the lines at Starbucks scare you. The entire store can be full to the brim but they move people through in a fashion like I've never seen. Nothing like they do at a local restaurant. Way more efficient. At least at MK. Never tried anywhere else.

And yeah, Joffrey's is what they serve all over property, both in the named kiosks and in the coffee stops in resorts, etc. Unless they indicate otherwise (like Kona coffee at Poly, etc or French Press at Tratoria)

Can you use Starbucks Mobile Order in the parks?

I found it to be outstanding. We had it daily with our on-site room and brought some packs home. Now, I wish our local Publix offered it.

Glad to hear it’s good! I’m looking forward to trying it!

Has anyone tried customizing a drink while on the dining plan? I don’t really want to spend out-of-pocket money since we are already paying for the dining plan.

That’s very reassuring!! I’m looking forward to drinking eggnog lattes while in MK!

I think Joffreys is excellent. We hoard as many filter packs as housekeeping will give us and ration it out to ourselves between trips. Not a fan of McDs or Starbucks though; I'm more of a dunkin guy. (never had tim Hortons, but do like Peets.)

Starbucks on main Street USA. :crazy2: It should be illegal.8-)

Love the Joffrey's pods in the rooms, made with bottled water and half-half from the general store. I actually look forward to it every trip!

And I typically make Starbucks at home or buy Dunkin' Donuts when out.

I love coffee, and only drink it black. Joffrey's is pretty good. Dunkin' is excellent.

Starbuck's is an insult to good coffee. Their coffee tastes like they burned the beans. Their flavored coffees are for folks who don't really like coffee, but like the idea of people seeing them drinking "coffee".

I really enjoyed Joffrey's. I don't like Starbucks, though, so there's that. I am also a black coffee drinker, but tend to add a little cream/sugar on vacation! I had a fabulous iced coffee at Joffrey's called Shakin Jamaican! They do serve this as a coffee drink with liquor, but they also offer it without, which is what I got. Wonderful!

Heh. I didn't mean to hijack the thread for a Starbucks bashing session (although that can be fun ;)) My suggestion is simply to try a Joffreys while you have a chance. You can always get Starbucks any other time. :)

Bottled water makes all the difference. Joffrey's is fine. Starbucks is too overpriced and I like my coffee before leaving for the park.

Ask them! They might start stocking it!

Joffreys actually makes a custom blend exclusively for Disney as part of their ageeement, so that won't happen. While that's a slight bummer, it is just one more thing to look forward to now that I've been on every attraction 57000 times... ;)

I just get the refillable mug and let the nice people at the BC marketplace make it for me. That way we can take the pods home and have Disney coffee as a treat. :D

Joffrey's does have a website with an incredible amount of Disney signature/exclusive blends. I never knew!!!!
