Does anyone know what is the current policy about free valet parking for DVC members at the DVC resorts that offer valet parking? I remember seeing lots of discussion a few months ago. Must the DVC members be staying at that particular resort or on property at WDW? We have two stays upcoming where we are staying at the Hilton Grand Vacations Club resorts but would like to use valet parking for dinners and activities onsite. Any ideas? Thanks in advance!

As far as I know, only your DVC Membership card is required. Remember that it is only good at DVC resorts.

If you happen to have a DDE card, you can get free valet at any resort. You'll need to show your DDE card and the meal receipt.

We used valet parking at the Boardwalk just last night. All I needed to do is show our blue DVC membership card.

We just got back at the beginning of July. We valet parked at BCV, WLV, AKV and BWV. All we needed to show was our membership card or the parking permit you get when you check in that says where you're staying and that you're a DVC member.

I never leave my parking permit in plain view. That's how you get "accidentally" charged for valet parking. If you have your card, I'd just show that on exiting.
Why risk it?

I'm sorry, I'm not quite following you. We always leave the parking permit in the window. It says DVC member and Beach Club Villas on it. How would we get charged? Would they charge it to the room?

It has been known to happen in the past. Your member # is NOT required to get free valet parking, nor is the parking pass (I have asked twice now). I hold my finger over the # part of my card and it never leaves my hand. They always have just nodded and said, "thank you" and I walk away from the podium knowing it is impossible for them to "accidentally" charge me following these procedures.
Why give them the opportunity to charge you?
