I have read a couple times to get a fastpass for the new Stunt Show at MGM because these are the best seats. Here are my questions and I hope someone can answer them.

1) How early can you get a fastpass for the first show? at park opening?
2) Will this stop you from getting another fast pass for ToT or RnR due to not holding fast passes at the same time.
3) Or if you have a fast pass for ToT, can you not get one for the Stunt Show?

Any help would be great.

I can help you a litte, since we where just there this past weekend.

1. We got there around 10 and they where open.
2. You cannot get another fast pass for 1 hour. It say it right on the ticket, you cannot receive another fast pass till such and such time.
3. I dont know about this one.

I hope this helps.

Does anyone have any information on the times of the shows and how to go about getting fast passes. We are trying to plan our day today at MGM. Thanks for the help.

Shows are at 1pm 3:55, and 6:15. You can get the fastpasses starting when park opens. Then usually about 30 min before the show they start giving FP for the next show.

So, if you wanted a FP for the 6:15 show, what time would they start making those available? Thanks.

Sorry I quoted the wrong time its 6:55 show. And they start giving FP for it ruffly around 3:30-3:45

This is what happened with us when we were there last week: We got to the park around 9:30 am and while I took the kids to Playhouse Disney, dh went to get fastpasses for the Stunt show that starts at 1 pm. However, he was able to get a fastpass for the Aerosmith Rollercoaster BEFORE 1 pm. In fact, he got the fastpass for the Rollercoaster and rode it, all before 1 pm.

I think that for the Stunt show, they expect lots of people to get a fastpass right away, so they are a bit more lenient with allowing you another fastpass within a shorter amount of time.

FWIW, by the time we were entering for the 1 pm show (around 12:30 pm), the return time for fastpasses being issed then was for 3:30 pm.

Oh, and the fastpass tix for the Stunt show only gives you a 10-minute window; however, they do not hold you to that. The fastpass return line is to the right -- there are lots of people in that line, so you may think it's the standby line, but it's actually the fastpass line and it moves rather quickly, so don't let the crowd disuade you.

Thanks for the great tips and information. We are heading over to MGM in just a few minutes.

When we got our fast passes, the time to get the next fast pass was printed as 1 minute later.

I started talking to the CM at the fast pass machine about this and he told me that the Cars and Motors Stunt show is not really part of the Fast Pass. It is only an early admissions ticket and does not affect your ability to get a fast pass anywhere else.

He said that, for example, if you get a fast pass for R&RC at 9:30 and the time for a next fast pass is 10:30 according to the ticket, you can still go over to the Car stunt show and get a "fastpass" immedicately.

We came back a few days later and tired it out (got a fastpass for RRC and then went back and got one for the stunt show (no problem).

This is extremely helpful. Thank you very much!! I was trying to figure out how to work this out and it was driving me crazy!

As far as I could tell (I only tried it once, mid May) the next fetch time on your Lights Motors fastpass is five* minutes later or is the next fetch time on your previous fastpass (if you already have a fastpass) whichever comes last. To get a Lights Motors fastpass you have to wait at least five* minutes from the time you got your previous fastpass otherwise the error message still says your next fetch time is what the previous fastpass says.

Although you may still get in via the fastpass line after the 10 minute window has expired, regular guests may already be entering.

The come back time changes to the show after at some point close to the start of the upcoming show or when the allotment for the upcoming show is exhausted, the latter time is not easily predicted.

* This is a magic number. I believe each ride has its own and the number is subject to change depending on crowds.

If you got a fastpass for something else around 9:30 the worst case next fetch time would be around 11:30, two hours later.

we will be there next week...just wondering if you really need a fast pass ? thanks..amy :cool1:

I read somewhere that the seats are better....can't remember where.

It is best to get one because as a previous poster said, the fast pass people get the best seats. I don't know if there are any real BAD seats, but most of the action is in the center and left of center and that is where they start filling the stands.

Another thing about the fast pass. At least for the 1pm show, the CMs do not look at the return time on the fast pass. So even if your return time is 12:30 to 12:40, you can still enter right when they start letting people in (~12:15).

They let all the waiting Fastpass folks in before the let any of the regular folks in. There are five sections, let's call the sections 1, 2, 3, 4, and 5. However they may start with section 2 or section 4 and Fastpass folks may have to start sitting near the 1-2 or the 4-5 boundaries before other sections are opened up. But they open up more sections before people have to sit really high up in back.
