Questions about Early Entry days

Ok, I'm staying offsite , and I have a question about going to MK during an early entry day.

We are going to get to MK before the 'official' opening for non resort guests. My question is in two parts.

One , how/where exactly keep us out of the parks until the official opening time? Second how horrible are the crowds going to be once we get in since there are already resort guests there?

TIA!:thumbsup2

They hold guests at the TTC who don't have a resort ID and they check resort IDs at the gates.

EMH in the AM aren't usually that crowded. Lots of people don't like to get up early in the morning. I'm one who gets there early.

If you can't use early entry (staying off site), I'd recommend going to a park that doesn't have early entry that day. The other parks are much more likely to be less crowded.

One strategy says to pick a park that had early entry the day before -- because so many people went to that park the day before, they're unlikely to go to that park the next day, too.

I totally agree with this. If I were staying off property I would never go to the early entry/extra evening hours park for that day.

That's good advice. :) Unfortunatly, we have to go to MK on Tuesday because of a ADR we have.

I'm in the same boat... Our CRT reservation is for lunch on our first day, a Tuesday, which also happens to be an EMH morning for the Magic Kingdom. I was SO ANGRY at myself when I found out, and I'm afraid to call back and try to change it. I think we're just going to tough it out... it's our first day, it'll make the rest of our days seem that much better! Right?

We also arn't getting park hoppers, and that day is the only day that the MK is open until 11 on our trip - for the rest of the days it's only open until 10. I figure if we take a break after CRT we can come back and close the park.

If I were off property, and planning on being there as early as I could, I'd try for an early ADR somewhere. They may let you in early with an early ADR. Having said that, to answer your question - Even on a morning EMH day, the parks don't get crowded for a few hours, and it depends on the season as to how bad they will be anyhow. MK is the worst, the others may not be as bad - except maybe AK, cause everyone wants to ride EE.

Perhaps the day after EMH is not the day to go either....(for some reason, I keep thinking of the poison switching scene in the Princess Bride...)
