Questions about DVC Discounts

I have heard that you can get discounts on dining etc with the DVC.... is this true and how does it compare to DDP?
I am mulling the DVC over and this is sort of the stumbling block....... also, can anyone fill me in on point ranges for say staying off Disney... England France Hawaii....Thanks alot!

Any perk is subject to change, and they do change often. Never buy DVC based solely on peceived discounts. Currently there are some dining discounts, some are lunch only, or have other restrictions. These discounts are in no way meant to be a substitute for the DDP, if the DDP works for you. And the DDP IS available if you are staying at a DVC resort on points.

The best current discount for DVCers is the $100 off a standard WDW Annual pass, or $125 off a Premium Annual Pass.

Staying in a 1 bedroom trade out through Interval International is currently about 160 points per week. It may vary some depending upon season.
