Planning to use the DME for my Nov 2011 vacation. I was just looking at the details of my resort ressie on the WDW website and discovered that the DME people do not have our flight info at the moment. Who do I need to call to provide this? Travel agent told me to confirm flight times a day or so before departure, even though I do have our flight numbers and other details. Do I have to wait to call DME until I have confirmed the times? :confused3

If you have your flight times, you need to make sure that you have a reservation with DME.
If your travel agent has not made the reservation for you, you can do this on your own, by calling DME reservations.
About 30 to 45 days before your trip date, you will receive your DME voucher bookelet with the luggage strips for your checked luggage. The book will confirm your return trip date and will give you information for the location of the location of the DME.
The day before you leave DIsneyworld there will be a letter on your door at the resort that will give you your pick up time to return to the airport.
You do not need to confirm your fights a day or so before you leave, there is no reason to do so.

If you know what airline you are flying and the flight number, let DME know the information now. If your flight # stays the same, but the times change, you don't need to tell DME, they keep track of that info.
You can call DME at 1-866-599-0951 and give them your flight info. You can also sign up for DME online of by calling CRO.

FWIW, I'm leaving for the world on 10-10 and when I received my trip package in the mail, it had 100% of the flight info correct. My info is still not showing on the WDW reservations site.

I contacted my TA about the missing info on WDW early on and she said not be alarmed because ME reservations(run by MEARS) is different than your resort or package reservation.

Hmm, I don't know what to do now. I called Disney directly (1-407-WDW-MAGIC) and they said that they can't help me since I booked through a travel agent; they can't see/don't own my reservation and I have to deal with the travel agent directly. Suppose I can try the 866 number you listed for DME and go from there. Would be lovely if they have my flight info and I just can't see that. Thank you everyone for your help. I'll report back in case anyone else might have a similar problem.

You need to call DME directly. Calling Disney will get you nowhere.

We have 2 rooms for mid November '11 @ PO-R along with ME ressies. On the reservation information that I can see on Disney's site, the address is incorrect. And, they had the "flyers" mixed up for the listed flights (2 different flights are involved). I have called 5 times to get this info straightened out.
After the last call, I called back because online was still showing the wrong info. They read me the actual correct info on the address associated with the room as well as the correct info of who is on what flight. For some reason it is just not showing up online correctly. I also spoke directly with ME and they suggested I contact them within the 30 day mark of the ressies to make sure that they also have the correct information. So I guess if you have provided them with any corrections/updates, you cannot count on the online information to show it correctly, which is frustrating.:sad2:

THis is an issue when booking with/through a TA...they 'own' the reservation until the moment you are standing at the checkin counter. So, the best you can do is to call DME directly, just to be sure they have the correct info...as far as who is riding the bus. THey don't really care about correct arrival info, other than the actual day you are arriving.
Call DME a few weeks prior to departure.

DME doesn't always show up correctly when viewing online reservations. I would call DME directly...take Disney out of the loop. They (DME) can tell you who they have flying....and that's all you care about. If they don't have the correct folks flying and using DME then they can correct it. But...each person using DME has to be listed on the resort reservation.

Thank you to everyone who offered me advice, I think I have the issue squared away now. Alesia, you were only too right. Calling Disney for various things on this trip has proved singularly unhelpful. :confused3 :rotfl:

Gary M, thanks for the number! I called those nice folks at DME and they were able to get everything squared away.
