Questions about DLP park cleanliness

I was just reading an WDW Orlando trip report by people visiting from France. They remarked on how clean WDW was compared to DLRP  and how small DLRP is.

Why would they find DLRP be dirty? I imagined everything would be to Disney's high standards.

I have been 13 times in DLRP and have never seen anything dirty!

Everything was perfectly clean!

I agree ::yes:: I've never noticed DLP being any dirtier than WDW. Plus they're doing a lot of maintenance work everywhere in preparation for the 15th Anniversary, so everywhere should look pretty smart :thumbsup2

Yes, overall DLP is much smaller than WDW - only two parks instead of four, with all the onsite hotels within walking distance. But it's still a wonderful, Disney place, with the most beautiful and detailed Magic Kingdom (the Disneyland Park) of them all - which looks even more stunning at Christmas :cloud9:

And don't forget. The Disneyland Park is even bigger than his two brothers in the US!

But the whole resort is much smaller than WDW! But I think it is bigger than Disneyland CA!? :confused3

That's what I thought, yet these people from France said that when comparing their trip to Orlando. :confused3

Anyway, I'm not going to worry about it :)

I've always been impressed with how clean things are in the parks in DLRP. I wouldn't sit on the pavement in any theme park in the UK but I was quite happy to perch on the kerb at DLRP They were forever coming round clearing away any litter

Now you also know why the Fench boycot the parc. :scared1: :scared1:

There so nationalistic and everything from "outside" is not accepted.

I was under the impression that DLRP was not as clean as WDW but when we were there in December it was fine. They were constantly going around sweeping up.

To be honest I think it has a lot to do with the weather. Florida is sushine all year round but not the case in DLRP. Lets face it everywhere looks dingy in bad weather - even paradise!

I think that yes, compared to WDW and DCA, DLP was not that clean, but it wasn't dirty neither. Some teens find interesting to throw empty popcorn boxes while riding at Big Thunder Mountain for exemple, same for the drinks, and sometimes, when it's crowded, some trash bins are more than full.
It's a problem often discussed on the french forums, where CM are often.

But there's nothing to stop you to go. The Magic Kingdom is really nice and not that smaller than the US MK. The studios are smaller but it's a young parc and it's getting bigger.
The hotels are so close to the park that you can go by walking which is very nice.
:wizard:

I've only ever once come across an overflowing bin at DLRP and that was in the queuing section for Casey Jones, which wasn't supposed to be open anyway and I assumed no one had informed the cleaning staff otherwise. Other than that I'm always amazed at how clean the pavements and paths are.:)

I have been told I have a cleaning compulsive disorder many times :rotfl: but have to say I have never seen anything in either park that would give me cause for concern or indeed a complaint.

IMHO DLRP is very well managed and serviced in all repects.
