Hi there...
I have two questions...
1. we'll be staying at Fort Wilderness in Sept/Oct 2011. Actually staying 10 nights, but only doing the parks for 6 days. Is there anyway to get the DDP for only the days we're doing the parks etc. we don't really need it the whole time as we will be cooking at the site/going off property.
2. If I book the Basic Magic your Way package now (site and tickets) can I change my mind later and add it on?
THanks for your help!
Misty

1) Not really. DDP is for length of reservation. You can make multiple reservations, but your dining plan would only be active on the days surrounding those nights. Note that you get all of your credits in a lump sum, so you can use multiple credits on a single day, if you wish, for those days that you are on site.

If you're staying at DVC on points, you can actually book multiple "segments" in a single reservation with different DDP packages (or none at all) in each segment.

2) Yes, that should be fine. You can add DDP up to 3 days before check-in. (2 days for DVC on points.)

Unless you are DVC, you would need to get the plan for the whole trip. You might decide you are better off skipping the plan.
Or remember, you can allot the credits any way that you want.
You can squeeze your use of all the credits into those 6 days, especially if you throw in a couple signature meals. You would be looking at 10 CS credits and 10 TS credits.

Remember though, if you think you would be throwing away some of the credits, then it is cheaper to just pay OOP.
