Are people still having problems with getting over charged on credits? Also, if you get charged more then you should, would you be able to take care of it right there at the restraunt and they credit back so many credits or would you still have to go to your resort? Also, at the resort do you just go to the front desk to get it straight? Also, seems like most of the time when credits gets all screwey its because they have a big party and/or includes kids. Has anyone had any problems with over charging credits when its just 2 adults on snacks, CS and TS? Also, if me and DH do decide to do DDP, we would be saving about $250. Is that worth it if we always have to worry about weither or not our credits come out right, and if they dont have to waste our time to keep them corrected, or should we just pay the extra $250 and have a worry free trip? TIA!

I find keeping track of my credits is no different that checking to see if I got the correct change back after paying my bill. The only problem we had recently (WL) was that the CM at the WL accidently put charging privideges on my room card. We never have charging privideges when using the DDP because it causes us problems. We went to Harbor House and after the CM rang the charge we realized he charged our card and not our credits. The same thing happens at Mrs. Potts. So when we got back to the WL we went to the desk and the CM took the charges off our bill and adjusted our DDP. I find using the ddp (we used it 5 times since last year) does take a little watching, but no difference than checking to see how much money is in your wallet. BtW: if you go to the front desk and check on your credits, the CMs can print out a list of everyplace a credit was used. So if it says Coral Reef 3 TS used and there were only 2 of you, that would be something you would need to straighten out. But everytime you get a receipt it says how many credits were used and how many remain.

I agree that it is a good idea to NOT put charging privileges on ANY of your room keys, if you're using the Dining Plan. CMs cannot inadvertantly charge meals to your room instead of to the Dining Plan if your room keys don't have charging privileges. Just carry your credit card with you. (It's only 3 mm more to carry. :))

Alternatively, have only some of your room keys with charging privileges, and only use the ones without charging privileges when doing Dining Plan purchases.

Saves a whole bunch of hassles.
