Hi,

I was just wondering if anyone had used the concierge collection before?

How easy was it to do?

Was there the $95 arrangement fee like if you book with II?

We are considering this for 2009 as we want to visit NY before going to WDW.

DVC website is showing points for 2008 - when will the 2009 come out?

How far out can you book? (we want to visit end of july 2009)

Are you allowed to borrow points on this type of reservation?

We've had our points since 99 but we've only ever used them for coming to WDW

Thanks:goodvibes Your help is appreciated.

Haven't used any of the Concierge Collections options myself, but it is easy to do. Just call MS and they will make the reservation for you (subject to availability of course). They will also review the cancellation policy with you.

If a CC reservation is canceled in a timely manner, the points are returned to your account but can only be reused for something in the CC, the Disney Collection or the Adventurer's Collection. The points from the canceled CC reservation cannot be used to make a reservation at a DVC resort or for an exchange through II or the LBVTC.

Yes, there will be a $95 fee for CC reservations.

No way to know. Call MS. They may know the point requirements now and if not, they are in the best position to estimate when they will be available. I believe DVC has to renegotiate prices with the CC resorts annually. No guarantee that the resorts in the Collection for 2008 will be available in the 2009 Collection.

11 months in advance if the point charts are out. It has been reported that MS will let you book even if the charts are not available with the understanding that if the points needed go up, you pay the extra when the charts are out.

You're welcome. Home it all works out for you.

Is this true? Has anyone had experience with this where you can book nw for say May, 2009 and they will simply raise the # of points if necessary? What if you book in say San Francisco and that hotel is ultimately removed from the list?

Thanks!

DW and I stayed at The Grove Park in in 2007. It was very easy to do, MS took are of everything. We did pay $95, but it was well worth it.
