Okay, my family (of 5) is booked on the May 17th Eastern cruise. Our confirmation lists the 5 of us, BUT when looking through my passporter, it says that room 8076 sleeps 4. Do ALL category 4 sleep 5 and it's just not noted that way in the passporter? Most category 4 in this book say they sleep 4, not 5 (which was our whole point in booking a category 4). The pictures in the book show category 4 with that extra twin (which would sleep 5, right?). Do I need to panic? Am I even making sense? Help!!!

I don't know about your room specifically, but I know in some past threads they were talking about how the passporter had listed some room occupancies wrong. If your confirmation says for 5 people, I don't think you could get booked in a room that was for 4.

Please do not panic, it is impossible for DCL to book a party of five into a stateroom that sleeps four.

Unfortunately that section of Passporter has caused many folks to panic and it is inaccurate.

Cat. 4s sleep FIVE. :)

Have a great cruise! :teeth:

The Cat 4 rooms have a King bed (2 twins together), a "sofa" bed, a pull down "bunk" bed and a pull down "murphy" bed. We stayed in a Cat 4 last October and LOVED it. I was told that ALL Cat 4 rooms slept 5.

We were in 8076 in January/2003.

It definitely can sleep 5. There was a murphy bed (twin size), a couch that converted to a twin bed, a pull-down twin size bed, and the "queen" size bed.

We LOVED that room. Great location for running up to the buffet and pools.

Thank you!! I feel so much better now!! (Of course, my DH is saying "I told you so.") ;)

We were in 8076 on Wonder last year. It is in a great location, close to aft elevators (which always seemed less busy than the others on board), very close to the beverage station and 'secret' aft deck on 7. We'd have loved the same room on our upcoming Magic cruise but we could only get a GTY. We've just been assigned 8004 - about as far forward as you can get! So it should be quite a different experience!

Enjoy your cruise!

We are a family of 5 too and also have a question about cat. 4 rooms. Our 2 older kids will sleep on the bunks, but we have a daughter who will need a crib too. Can a crib be put in the spot where the other bed goes next to the verandah? Does the other bed pull out of the wall? Will this help solve the problem of stepping over the bed in order to go out on the verandah after the kids go to bed Or will it still be in the way? We're still trying to decide if we want a cat 4 or two cat 11 or 9's. Thanks!!!!
