Questions about Candlelight Processional Dinner at Epcot...

how disappointing that Disney is doing this. I called a few weeks back and was told it would be 1 ts. I am upset, because we are going to be there week before Christmas with my elderly parents. This is a must do for them as they also want to do Hoop de Doo, which is another 2 TS. That means we would only have 3 dinners out of our 5 nights there. Not sure how worth it that will be. We were planning on Christmas Eve, and I am sure the waits will be horrendous that night. Decisions, Decisions.

Can anyone tell me...if you are NOT on the DDP and you are planning to pay OOP for the Candelight processional package, do they require a credit card to reserve it?

Karla,

We booked this morning using Dining Plan (2 credits) and they still wanted a credit card to hold it.

Good Luck

Can't you just pay for meal and not use the 2 credits? Then you still see CP.

Karla,
I would like to know the same thing since we do not have the dining plan, I'm calling as I type this, ok so the girl was really nice and looked it up for me, I only asked for adult prices
teir 1
$32.00 - lunch
$44.99 - dinner

tier 2
$38.99 - lunch
$48.99 (I think that's what she said, she mumbled) - dinner

tier 3
$51.99 - lunch
$59.00 - dinner

She said this was the first time she was looking at any of this info so she was reading through it and she didn't see anything about a set menu. I didn't ask about preferred seating for illuminations. Hope this helps!

Keep in mind Illuminations has preferred VIEWING (not seating). Not unless something has changed where they installed seating. And I have neither heard nor seen any indication of this.

 I called twice today. The first CM said it was 2TS with VIP seating for Illuminations and appetizer was included. I said that I was on DXDDP and appetizer was always included and she said that appetizers were not included. I then inquired about the fixed menus. She said that there were no fixed menus but only some exclusions (lobster, etc). The 2nd call the CM said that there were tiers and it was 1TS. I wish they would train the CMs better. I still have not decided what to do. I want good information.

I guess we're going to have to do the standby line this year. Now that the kids are "adults" (10 and 12), it would just be way to expensive to do the dinner package. $200 for dinner at Garden Grill just isn't worth it to me, and we aren't interested in any of the other restaurants except LeCellier which would end up being about $250. We'll just deal with getting in line early, and eat at the restaurants another time when we can use our TIW card.

Has anyone else written customer service?

I just emailed a letter to them. I am so frustrated with not getting consistent answers to any of this. It is very unlike Disney!

I can't believe all this confusion!! This will be our first time at Disney for Christmas and I was so looking forward to the CP. We will be on the deluxe DP and I'm not sure I really want to use 2credits PP for this just to get in 15 mins. earlier. Hmmmm....... I was planning on going to Epcot on the 23rd and seeing the show. We will be arriving from the cruise that day. Now I'm thinking of changing my plans and going to HS on this day and doing Epcot on Christmas day.

Ugh!

I hope they put out the confirmed info soon!

Does the candlelight processional now require 2 tables credits?
Thanks

If we decide not to do the CP Package, what time do you recommend getting in line for the last 8:00 show?

Also, we might try Biergarten...how long should we allow for dinner?

Thanks in advance!

I spoke to a DVC CM yesterday to find out about the CP package. She said it was definitely 2TS for all locations (even lunch) and that it was a fixed menu. She said she was reading it right from the computer. I might have considered doing the CP dinner package for 2TS but not with a fixed menu. We decided to wait in line and see the show for free and add Narcoosee to our ADRs.

No one seems to know officially. Hopefully on August 29th when it is a true 90 days out, Disney will announce something. All the CMs I have talked to have told me they won't know for sure until the 29th.

I hate all of the contradictory information. One CM says 1TS one says 2. One says fixed menu one says no fixed just fewer choices. One says illuminations special viewing one says VIP seating. They need to get their facts straight.

A nd soon! :headache:

I am simultaneously glad and disappointed that I found this thread!! What a drag... this seems like such a mess. It will be our first time to WDW at Christmas, 12/20 - 27, and I just don't see how the CP is going to be worth it after all this trouble! two ts for 1 ts restaurants doesn't make sense! Charge extra if you have to, like an "addon" not a whole dining credit!!?? So OOP may be the way we go.... IF we do it. I still have time, not booking until Sept 20, but I will be watching this thread to see what happens. Thanks for all the great information -- even if it isn't good!! :headache:

2 quick questions:

How do the kids like the CP? I have a 7 & 8 year old- will they like it or be bored?

Also, what is 90+10? I know that I can make ADRs at 90 days out, but what is the +10 all about?

Thanks!

If you are staying at a Disney resort, on your 90th day you can make ADRs for your first day plus up to 10 days following that. If you are staying off property, you have to call back every day at the 90th day for each day you want to make an ADR.
