Thinking of doing this tour and my mother in law and mother would like to join us. While I understand that it is a whole day, 7ish hours covering Magic Kingdom, Epcot and MGM the moms do have a few problems. Mom in law has bad knees and does use a cane for assistance and my mom can have sore feet from walking too much. They really want to do this tour so I am just trying to find out from others if there is way too much walking or is the walking offset by sitting etc. I also understand that the bus will drive us too the other parks, do we just get off at the main entrance or does this but take us into the park to save on the walking - Thanks any and all help would be greatly appreciated!!

We did it back in 1999. My husband has Muscular Dystrophy and back then he was much better than he is today. Anyway back then he did ok. The hardest part is you will load the bus many times. (Stairs are his hardest thing to do) We did a lot of sitting then looking. The only real walking I remmebr doing was the utilidor and it was not that big of a part of the day.

As I remmebr we got on a bus drove to the back of Epcot and American Adventure and got off then looked at the behind the scenes there. Then we re loaded the bus
The next stop if my meory serves me right was another pavilion in Future world. We got off then saw behind more stuff then loaded again. This was our pattern all day. We sat on the bus then got off to see soemthing or a few somethings then we re loaded. In the utilidors we walked maybe 100 feet in the utilidor. Im terible with distamce and even more terrible in meory about distance. lol
We walked into many different rooms too like wig room, costume room, and other places like that.

As you see by my brief disctriptions you will mostly be climbing up and down the bus. It was airconditioned nice one too.

Maybe someone will come along who has done it more recent because I heard you no longer even get to paint a cell like we did in 1999.

Thanks Barb,

Your info does help!! While there might be some people out there who have done this tour more recently, I think if the tour includes mostly hoping on and hoping off buses this will cut down on the overall walking in which case I think our moms will not have any major problems!
