Questions about Aulani

We are heading to Aulani in a few weeks -- our first-ever trip to Hawaii. I have a few questions...

1. Can you drink tap water in Hawaii? Does Aulani offer free filtered water?

2. Can non-DVC members, staying in a DVC villa self-park for free (we rented points)?

3. Do you have any advice for our visit? We are traveling with our son (age 7). We will stay in an Island-View Studio for 7 nights (Monday-Monday).

The tap water on Oahu is drinkable. I believe the water at Aulani might even be treated again. I cannot remember but it is drinkable.

If you are staying on points your parking will be free.

Must check out all the sights on the isalnd. You might want to take one day to go to the north shore and the polynesian cultural center (they are closed on sundays). Check out diamond head, moanalua bay, arizona memorial, uss Missouri battleship, a half day at waikele outlets for shopping and many other spots. And donot forget all the LOCAL FOOD places.
