Questions about arriving at resort

We will start our first ever WDW visit on August 27 at Caribbean Beach. We arrive in the late afternoon on August 26 from Germany, transfer to an Inn for the night and will probably be awake 4 am due to jet lag. So we want to use the first day as efficiently as possible. Our plan is to arrive at CB early in the morning between 5 and 5.30 a.m. for check-in, knowing that the room will not be ready, but to get the ticket (Ireland 14 day hopper starting August 27) to the parks and to deposit our luggage. Then we aim for the first bus to Animal kingdom for rope drop early entry, to return in the afternoon when the room is ready.
Do you think that will pose a problem, because it is so early? Should I warn them in advance?
How does the luggage deposition work, is there a room where I can bring the luggage to and where it is safe?
Can I get the room key card already in the morning or do I have to return to the desk in the afternoon? We will use MDE on iPhone, but I would like to have physical cards, too.

Thank you in advance for your answers!
I did my first out of country Disney trip in Paris last summer. It was so hard to find info! Lucky for you , you have us here! Please do yourself a favor and read page 1 of CBR thread and skim through . I usually reread the 1st pages and then start at the end for current info. Then I look through middle mainly for pix.

I have stayed at all of the wdw resorts. My last CBR trip was Sept 2024. It’s seems obvious to regular Disney guests but you may not know you can use Disney transportation for free . For example you can ride the skyliner even if you are not going to a park. Same with the boats from Epcot , boardwalk resorts and HS. Sometimes that is an enjoyable as a park ride especially if parks are crowded. The boats at the MK area again are a nice break. You can ride the route GF, Poly,MK triangle . You can get off at the resorts and explore. The other route is WL and FW campground. Follow the signs but you can visit those too or just ride the boat. WL is fun to explore. The resort is very fun.

You can also eat at any resort! We often grab a quick service meal while visiting.

Also look at Skyliner routes. The one line is CBR then RR to Epcot. Depending on where your room is the RR resort stop may be closer. You can use that one leaving or arriving. For me that’s been the closer one .

Last you may want to look at food options at CBR, Pop and RR. They are all close enough to get to and with 14 days more options will be better. Actually boardwalk resorts easy enough to get to.

Enjoy the planning!
