Questions about AP, HMH, and MTOT

Hello, wise, all knowing Dis-ers! I am planning our trip for this December, as well as (at least) a trip next September and possibly one for next October. My first question is about APs. I want to upgrade our parkhoppers to APs while we're there so we can take advantage of discounts, but the problem I am running into is that our last day in the parks is a blackout day. Is there any way around that, other than simply upgrading them on the last day of our trip?

For our September trip, we'd like to go before HM goes down for the overlay. When does that generally happen?

If we went in October, We'd like to go to MTOT, but I know nothing about it. When (during the month) do they start doing it? Is it only on particular nights? How much do tix cost?

The HM and HHM are my favorite attractions at DL, and I love them both equally!

While the HHM opens at the end of September (on the first day of the Halloween season), the normal HM goes down during the first week of September. This year it was originally supposed to close on Sept. 8th, but they changed the schedule and it closed immediately after Labor Day.

So, it is sad to say, but your chances of seeing the normal HM in Sept. is pretty slim.
