What can DH and I expect at 50's Prime Time?

A lot of fun! Put your elbows on the table, or try to get out of eating your veggies, and see what happens.

It was one of the highlights of our last trip. Good, home-cooked food, and atmosphere right out of 50's sitcom, and if you have a waiter who is into it, a hilarious time. We've put this one on our list to visit every time!

Fantastic appetizers & desserts! This is the only restaurant that we'll be repeating on our next trip.

A lot depends on your server. Some are very adept at creating a fun, interactive experience, while others are a little more laid back in their interaction. The food is great -- standard comfort food served like Mom would make for baby-boomer kids. The decor is delightful -- set like a kitchen in the 50's with TVs everywhere.

I have only 1 complaint -- they tend to rush out the entree before you have a chance to finish the appetizer. I always ask our server to have them hold our entrees until we finish the appetizer (please). Otherwise, you may get 1 bite of appetizer down when the entree is shoved onto your table.

Beware of Dad's Super Sundae -- the reality is much LARGER than the picture. It's a dessert not for the faint of heart (or those watching their weight or cholesterol!).

we just ate there last week. We did NOT have a fun waiter. So if you get Joey do not expect much.

The food was okay. I did not care for my meatloaf but I liked the chicken. It was really good. I did not like the seafood dip either.

The milkshake was also really good. Dad's sundae is huge and my DS could not finish it.

You can expect good food

Honestly, I think it depends on your personality.

Me and Dh are quiet people, our waiter did not kid with us very much at all (which was fine with me!), though we had expected to be kidded with since that is part of the restaurant; I think the waiters are good at reading people's personalities. We were, however, seated between two families with kids and the waiters were really giving them a "hard time"

Sometimes they included us in on it since we were all sitting so close together and that was fun. However, no one yelled at me for not eating my vegetables.

DH and I are quiet as well, and I heard if they find out it's your anniversary (which it will be for us when we go) they make you stand up and sing.....NO WAY!!!

This place often gets panned for it's price and quality of food. If you want a different experience, we eat in the Tune In Lounge, usually an app and a Grandpa's Picnic Punch. It's fun to sit and watch everyone else. Otherwise, remember the color of the soap in the restroom! We love it and go everytime!

Lots of fun, and well prepared comfort food. That can be a welcome change from sandwhiches and salads from CS
