Remind me the benefits of booking onboard again? We are going on Cruise 10/3/16 and considering booking one for Spring Break ?

10% deposit (instead of 20%). 10% reduction on cruise fare. Onboard credit of $100 for cruises of less than 7 nights/$200 for cruises 7 nights and longer.

Unless the cruise is blacked out. Then you'll get the stateroom credit and deposit benefit only

Isn't the 10% reduced deposit only for cruises of 7 nights or more? Shorter cruises have the regular 20% deposit.

They also now have the dummy reservation, which is a $250 deposit, and you can switch it to an actual cruise date later. This is super fast and what we did when we were on the Fantasy in May. The CM working the counter there said this new policy has really saved them some serious headaches. BTW, here are the details for the onboard bookings from our reservation email:

Travel must take place within 24 months of reservation to maintain booking benefits. Blackout dates apply to the Onboard Rebooking Offer, please inquire when booking a confirmed date or contact Disney Cruise Line or your travel agent for more details. Onboard credits, per stateroom, will vary based on sailing. $100 for sailing of 6-nights or less and $200 for sailings 7-nights and greater. Cannot be combined with any other offer or discount. Not valid on VGT, OGT, or IGT stateroom categories with restrictions or 2-night sailings.
