I have a question.

Do you think it would be bad or look bad for me in the future, if I went thru the application process knowing that there is a very slim to none chance that I would be able to go down this fall (I'm planning for Spring 2011)?

Any thoughts?

Thanks!

They cannot hold it against you if you are accepted and then decline the invitation. Just think about this though, you're taking up someone else's spot and maybe they wanted to go very badly and may never get another chance to do it and they didn't get accepted because you were. I just don't think I could ever do that because I'd feel really guilty. Its all up to you and how you'd feel about doing it.

I think I just want to apply and see if I pass the web interview. But I would never call about the phone interview. Not for the fall.

I would feel really guilty about that too. I think I might end up just doing the web interview. I don't know.... ohhh the stress.

Just doing the web interview should be fine. From what I've read, Its a bunch of simple questions about work ethic and such. Its one of those things where you pick strongly agree, agree, neutrel, disagree, and strongly disagree. From what I've read, you have a stronger possiblity of passing if you go towards the ends where it says strongly disagree/agree. Just some tips :)

Yeah. idk. I'm going to just think about it for a few days.

That's the part that i'm most worried about, ironically. the web interview! haha :o

If you're going to do it, do it soon, I say. Because if you pass it, it's good for 6 months, which could mean up to next season's apps. But if you fail (hopefully not!) it's still good for 6 months, which means that you may not be able to apply for next season as early as you'd like.

And there is a waitlist (that I know about all too well, :rotfl:) if you did want to try the whole way... you just decline as fast as you can so someone on the waitlist can get in.

Yeah. I know about the whole 6 months thing, which is why I kinda want to try now (so that my 6 months after i applied date passes in July).

I don't know.

But thanks for the advice!

I did. Applied for spring, knew I wasn't going, got in and declined. They are not going to deny someone entrance into the program because you got a spot and declined it... that's why some people have to wait forever before hearing about their acceptance. They will not hold it again you - my recruiter is the one who told me to do it.

Thanks! I'm just really nervous about the interview's, and I decided last night to just do the web interview and then decide if I actually want to call. I just want to give myself the best shot I can for next spring since if I don't get accepted for spring 2011, I have to wait until Spring 2013 if I would be able to do the program at all.
