I'm thinking of moving our DL trip to later on this summer. (We have a pkg, teh 3 for 5) Anyhoo, I talked to my TA and she said that it could be done, but I would have a slight charge for moving the trip. Has anyone had to do this and how much was it?

I think the charge and how much it will be depends on when you move it to and where it was originally. Disney uses a "season tier" in their pricing. That means that once you hit the dates in another season level, the good rate you might have goes up to whatever the next level of pricing for that season is.

Also, depending on the package you bought, it may have certain restrictions. The price for your room may be guaranteed, but there could be a service charge that varies by package and agency. For instance, AAA has a slightly different pricing structure through Disney Travel Company than does a small "mom and pop" agency. Smaller agencies can possibly levy specific fees for changing reservations on their own, too.

Check with your agent for the specifics on your package.

Normally there is a $25 charge, however, if your package is higher than the original price there is no charge. In the past, I was able to delay packages to a later date and not have to pay any penalty.

If you are within the 30-day mark, then the penalty is higher because that is when WDTC starts printing out the tickets and preparing the packages for shipment.
