for those who have/had jobs.

what was your first job?

What did you do?

Would you recommend working there?

yea, i'm in need of a job for this summer, so i'm open to almost anything.

I'm still at my first job(s), so I'll just reply to it as is.
Right now I work at Kohls, do paperwork for the Coop, and give ski/snowboard lessons(usually for free).

What do I do? Kohls-just about everything; Intimates & Accessories, Housewares, Domestics, Girls/Boys/Toddlers/Infants/Toys, and Registers.
Coop-mostly spreadsheet and signs.
Ski/Board lessons-pretty obvious;)

Would I recommend it?Kohls- Yah, the people are extremely friendly and their training program is really good.
Coop-well I'm not sure on your experience, so it would depend.
Ski/Board lessons-Once again it depends on you, but I absolutley love it and thats part of the reason I usually don't ask to be paid.

But I would highly recommend Kohls for anyone regardless of any past experience.
Good Luck!:cool1:

Edited to add: Do not work at Zumiez. Yes its a cool place, but the hours absoultley suck.

My sister worked at Tucker's marketplace for a little while in her teens. She had a great time, made lots of close friends and met people her age there and sometimes they even let her take home a little dessert.

what was your first job? Dishwasher/waitress

What did you do? washed dishes, waited tables, baked, prepared lunch, prepared breakfast, cleaned.

Would you recommend working there? only if you've got a strong stomach and can deal with people.

Would you recommend working there? NO! its the worst job ever, $6. an hour, and they want you to work like every day.

off subject for a second, but i met ryan dunn at zumies in foxvalley. it was awesome, plus all the workers there were super fun.

Oh ok, nevermind, different place:p

what was your first job? Department of Health and Human Services

What did you do? Paperwork, filing, making files, doing different things on the computer.

Would you recommend working there? I don't think you be able too.
:confused3

I also worked, at Sonic. DONT WORK THERE. The people are really rude and impatient. I kept slipping on the floors ecause they were always wet. It was very crowded b/c the kitchen was small. And I only got paid 6.15$ an hour, they wanted me too work forever and close. They also got mad when I reminded them that I was only 15, and it was illegal for me to work that long. :confused3

what was your first job? Sam's Club

What did you do? Cashier

Would you recommend working there? No

Yea..I didn't enjoy my time there..

what was your first job? AMC Theatres popcorn::

What did you do? Sell Tickets, Clean Theatres, Sell Food

Would you recommend working there? Eh, it really depends.
There are ALOT of teenagers working there, and there's a TON of social events which is great. But sometimes I'm not really friendly and I can't deal with stupid immature people, so I don't really like many peopel there.
AAAAND it SUCKS working on a friday/saturday night and you see all your friends going to the movies and you are WORKING until midnight! blehh.
It's a catch 22. I get free movies. which is amazing, because I'm a huge movie buff. BUT to get that I have to sacrifice my weekends.
It's not that bad though.
I'm just pessemistic about it.

I quit back in December, but I ran out of money, so instead of finding another job, I just went back to AMC.

I'm hoping to get a job at my grampa's country club this summer with my boyfriend, working outside.
