Question-Walmart Employee Discount on tickets

So, I'm hoping someone can help me out with this.

M BF works for Walmart and we just found out about the employee discount on tickets (he's worked there for years and we JUST found this out) so my sister and her family are going in December after Christmas and I wanted to know if I purchased their tickets as a Christmas present since I know she doesn't buy them until the day before they leave, would they have any trouble using them at the gate since my BF won't be with them?
