Question specials and existing réservation

Hi
I have a question for you experts
Let's say.I book tomorrow a few nights at the Polynesian
Room only ( no DDP no tickets )
And let's say next week Disney offers a spécial
Let's say 25 - 30% off on those ressorts
Will Disney just apply me the discount or cancel it and I risk
Loosing my type of Room and get only have pricier rooms

If you book now, you can have a discount applied to your reservation later on if the resort/room type you have booked is available under the discount. Having a reservation in place doesn't guarantee a discount can be applied, so sometimes you have to be flexible with your resort/room type in order to take advantage of a discount. The only time a reservation has to be cancelled and rebooked is if you go from one reservation type to the other (room only to package or package to room only). Room only and packages are different reservation systems, so one would have to be cancelled/refunded and the other booked as money paid toward one cannot be applied to the other.
