Knowing that Florida requires time share companies to have a certain % done before they can be sold, when do you think DVC may start selling?

Trying to figure out so I can budget for it!

Thanks for any help!

jmho, ala the AKV; i think that they will convert a % of the existing CR (the upper floors that haven't been re-done-spiceycat is the expert on their particulars I believe?) to do an end run around the restriction...

that is once they finally decide what they're doing with the new building;)

I think they will wait until it's done before they start to sell.

I know they know it will go with no problem.

I think the AKV had to be done because SSR was sell ahead of what they thought and they could have ended up with no new sales.

I bet if you took the New AKV points purchased already and converted them to SSR ,SSR would be sold out.Without the conversion of AKL that would mean nothing could be sold right now and we know thats not going to happen..

It looks like the pace of Comtemp and New AKV are right on par with each other so they should be able to wait until it's done.

Thanks for the replies - hoping for an announcement sometime soon. :)

What is the price Per Point you are budgeting for?
Anyone can jump in here.

I'm similar to SSRFred - I was using $112-$119, before incentives, if offered.

I think the price per point will be about the same $104 with maybe a small increase 3 or 4 dollars.

But I think the amount of Points for a night will be where they get us.

Starting out at about 14-16 per weeknight in Choice Season and going up from there.

Do you think that because of the location of the resort, meaning, a monorail resort?

ITA. Or they will have less of a discount (think $10/SSR vs. $8/AKL) for the points - maybe none:scared1: . They can also hike the point prices on CRV as they won't be able to change total points on the chart after it's announced.

Just my 2 cents.

Oh yes with the possible MK view those points will be high

Why would they need to do an incentive. They are going to make a killin.

ITA no money off or dev points to start it will be what it will be from the get go. Getting in a 7months will be very hard as people will bargin those points if they are smart.

hey it is not even announced yet.

just wishing!!!

the annoucement should be in May.

the building late 2009, or maybe 2010.

hopefully in May, they will say when the advance sales will begin. If this is going to be a DVC.

sure hope so.

the BCV went on sale at the same price that VWL had been selling for at the time.

You know how popular that one has been.

but yea - a monrail DVC resort plus it will definitely have the best views of the MK.

of course that also means (like the BCV) views of what WDW did not want guests to see.

What does that mean? I've never stayed at BCV so I'm not sure of the reference. Thanks.

I think she is refering to the "back side" of Epcot where it is definitely not the magical view the front side of the buildings are!

Makes sense - thanks!

from the first month - some members have complainted about the service roads.

also as Diane mentioned (thanks, Diane) the back of the building at FW are not nearly as cute or fun as the front sides.

with CR it will the cast parking lot (I think it is the cast parking lot) plus like Epcot - storage areas.

from the 16th floor - a perfect view of the MK would also include these things.

but hey who cares!!!!:woohoo:

Think they will have a guaranteed view of the MK like the BW views? That would seal the deal for us - I would want that 11 month booking window.

Just got back from VWL and the CRV is coming right along... Boat driver told me he had to sign a statement and could give no info other than the building would be as tall as the CR and would be horseshoe shaped.
