Question Regarding Split Stay and Package

Hi Disney experts,

We've had to make some major changes to our upcoming trip due to my husband's work schedule. Anyway, we are going this summer and with the release of discounts this week, we're trying to square everything away and are thinking of a split stay. The first part we would do a package with tickets for the entire length of stay for myself, husband, and son. Second part would be room only and my sister would be joining us. Here is my question:
Does us using ticket from our package mess up adding my sister to the room only reservation? Does she have to get a package too?

We've never done a split stay so I appreciate any help!
