question regarding selling a already confirmed reservation?????

Here is the problem. We made a reservation with our DVC points for the campground arriving Oct 15 thru the 20th of 06. We borrowed the points so they cannot go back we have a december use year so they need to be used by 11/30 of 06. We really cant sell the points only because the reservation is in the campground. Is there any way of selling the whole reservation we are new at this and I see the rent and trade board but that looks like DVC resorts only. It is horrible we can not go but we decided to buy a house in August and closed in September and moved the first week of September. I really do not want to forfeit the points so if I can sell the confirmed reservation that would be the best thing.

Any advice on the way to do this would be appreciated. thanks in advance .

Sure, post your reservation on the Rent/Trade Board. They would have to be used as Reservation Points in holding if you don't use them at Ft Wilderness. How many points are you talking about? Maybe someone could use them for a night at a moderate resort?

It is only 30 points for 5 nights in the campground. Our guide said if we sold only the points they would have to be used in the disney collection. I guess I never thought someone would only need 30 points. So do I just post in the rent trade forum. sorry I am new at this. Do you think we stand a shot at getting rid of them this late in the game?????

Are you trying to rent the reservation or the holding points? I would think if you still have the reservation, it should be easy enough to try and rent that first. If you have already cancelled the reservation and the points are holding account points, they are a bit more difficult to use, and can be very confusing. In the case of holding account points, 30 points would hardly be enough for even a night in most of the WDW resorts in the Disney collection.

I wonder if it would be "legal" to mention it on the Camping board - since a lot of visitors to the DVC rent and trade board are looking for DVC villas. There might be someone on the camping board that wouldn't think to look at the DVC rent/trade board for ressies.

No it would not be "legal" to mention it on the camping board. The Rent/Trade is the only place on the DIS where offering a reservation for rent is allowed. A discussion about "How to" rent a reservation is OK on this board, but the R/T is the only place acceptable for posting availability of something like that.
