Question regarding returns to Target

My husband bought me an Ipod Touch for Christmas. So did my boys. They are identical. I am keeping the ones from my boys because they bought it way back in October.
My husband bought his at Target and he said they came with the pair of Skullcandy Spreme Sound Hesh headphones that were in the box. I want to keep the headphones but return the Ipod. Does anyone know if Target will do this or have experience with bonus items?
It's not like I am trying to return the bonus item to get money back so I'm not sure how they will handle this. He seems to think he has to return them too.

When you return an item, you are required to return the bonus item also. Your husband is correct

check the receipt. when i use certain coupons or they have certain promotions you will see on the receipt items lumped together as a package. in that case if you return you either get a lower price or must return the entire package. i would assume they want the headphones back. i would get the credit and use it to just buy a pair (or two, or a case

You have to return the promo item. Keeping it would be considered stealing whether it is listed on the receipt or not. I don't think that would be something I would teach my kids but that is me.

I'm not trying to steal anything. I had him check his receipt and it is sold as a bundle, so he'll be returning both items tomorrow. Thanks for the answers.
