Question regarding Gold Mickey ears

Just repeating a post from the collectors forum, in hopes that someone may have an answer.

A friend went to WDW in Feb, and came back with Gold ears, one of which had a 50 on them instead of the castle, and asked if any of the ones that he brought back for us had 50 on them, but no we didn't have them. He was back there last week for a day and looked all over the MK, but didn't see any more of them, were these not supposed to be available at WDW, or just really limited. we just wondered what the deal was.

We got ours at the Magic Kingdom last summer, the 50 year celebration gold ears right? They probably ran out, but you can call and order some, or send an e-mail

ours all look like the one in the picture, but our friend got one that the number 50 on it where the castle is on the others. but he didn't see any more of them the next month, in fact he got that one by accident.

I am pretty sure those ( the 50 ones) are only available at Disneyland versus the castle ones at Disneyworld.

i thought that might be the case, but for some reason he got them at mk and not dl.

Ours looks just like the pic ones! And we got ours at WDW so I don't know, maybe you can call them and ask. Good Luck.
